FIRST POST, SPRING 2012

This is the first post of the blog for the Spring, 2012 semester.  Wanted to use this as a way to separate last years blog entries from this year.

I've found a really good small home information site; http://www.smallersmarterhomes.com, and a variety of smaller home designs... of which I have noticed the following qualities: no wasted space, heavy use of outdoor areas (patios and the like), placing rooms that use plumbing close together and etc.

  3. There is also a "web-magazine" site dedicated to tiny homes, showing MANY examples of them, and again, providing details and techniques for designing. the name of the website is; www.smallhousestyle.com

  4. I have found two sites http://www.designboom.com/contemporary/tiny_houses.html and http://www.littlediggs.com/ these sites have small houses that have a very unique style.

    What in interesting idea for the pallets. Not great as a permanent home, but for shelter after a hurricane or tornado, might be the thing. Have to read the complete article later. Thanks for finding it.

  8. The following website had useful information and was created by a company that manufactures tiny houses that are portable (therefore most of the houses don't have to be contructed with a permit because they are seen as a trailer):http://www.tumbleweedhouses.com/
    The guy who started this company has been living in these types of houses for most of his life, I found that fairly interesting.
